Continuing to build on the close creative collaboration developed over numerous projects between artist and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and the Emmy-nominated director, Fx Goby, most recently on the video for ‘Cracker Island ft. Thundercat’, the title track on the band’s forthcoming new album.
We teamed up with our Nexus family on this once-in-a-lifetime passion project, a dream come true for all, but especially for those of us who have been around since the band’s inception.

Produced by Nexus Studios, the live-action and animation-infused video’s sense of scale is conveyed through layers of detail large and small, incorporating minuscule carvings on the cave walls, evaporating cult members and the use of real fire on set.
Jamie and Fx set out to create a narrative-led creatively ambitious music video for the band, bringing together prosthetics, pyrotechnics, performance and intricate visual effects.
