“Think of this clip as a portrait of a classic
midwest town, meets spiritual enlightenment,
meets new age psychedelia.”

The concept of the song is based around the theme of transformation and growth. We wanted to bring this central thought to life using layers of animation over film, creating a psychedelic world unique to Mike Posner.

This film is a journey. A journey through a quaint midwest town, down the main street, through the residential suburbs and out into the beautiful open fields.

Through this journey we see Mike change and grow becoming an enlightened being floating in a rainbow of psychedelic energy over the fields of the midwest.

We wanted to use traditional animation to have surreal worlds and psychedelic ripples open up and happen around Mike.

We start with completely unaffected film, have some sections of full animation and other times where we will have a hybrid of both.
